What does double and triple coupons mean?

I have heard of stores doubling and tripling coupons, but I'm not sure exactly what that means. Can you get this done anytime or only certain times? What does double and triple coupons mean?
Double and trpile coupons is just that. If you have a coupon for 50 cents off and it is doubled, you get $1 off and with tripled you would get $1.50 off. The times you can get it depend on the store. Some run specials and some are all the time. Another common practice is for stores to double coupons upto a certain amount, usually $1. So if you have a coupon for up to 50 cents off it will be doubled but anything over that will either be the discount for the coupon only or just $1 off. Hope I didn't make it more confusing. What does double and triple coupons mean?

the coupon you redeem will be worth twice the value and and if a triple it will be three times the amount, but usually only go as high as 1.00 so if worht 50 cents than double would be 1.00 if triple than also 1.00 but if 30cents the double would be 60 and triple would be 90.

most always any the are doubled or tripled will go no higher than 1.00 off the product you buy.

usually the only time you will see that is 1) when business is bad or 2) when there is lots of competition
