I need an efficient way to organize coupons at home so that when I go shopping I can find them, take them with me, and actually use them! Right now they just sit in a drawer. What is a good way to Organize Coupons?
I would definitely recommend some type of ';carrying'; system (like a box, if you have a LOT of them, or a coupon envelope if not so many). If you know your grocery store layout, and the order you shop, I would arrange the coupons just like the store, so when you get to that aisle, you can check the coupons and see what you have and pull them out. I also check coupons against my grocery list, before I ever go to the store, and pull out only the ones I actually need - saves dragging the whole mess to the store.
I added a link for a coupon holder on Ebay - just as an example :-)What is a good way to Organize Coupons?
only collect them if you're going to use them.

only collect them if you're going to use them. LOL make it easier on yourself -- try sorting them by frozen foods, refrigerated , bottled staples, canned food, cleaning stuff, baked goods, meats, etc..

I organize mine alphabetically by food type, for example: cheese under C, fruit under F, meat %26amp; milk under M, pasta under P, snacks, soda, sauces under S, etc.
If you use alot of coupons the best way is to organize them in alphabetical order-but in catagories. These are some of my examples: Baking needs, breads-rolls-muffins, batteries,
cakes and cookies, candy-gum, cereals, cheese and lunchmeats, cleaning supplies, coffee-tea, cosmetics, dairy, deoderants-lotion,dog-cat products, frozens desserts, frozen
dinners, fruit, haircare, juices, jelly-peanut butter, laundry, meats, medicines, mexican, oils, papertowels-napkins, pasta-potatoes-rice, pickes-olives, pizza, plastic-wrap/foil/wax-paper, jello-pudding-coolwhip,salad dressings-ketchup-mustard, sauces, seasonings, snacks, soups, soaps-dish%26amp;bath, syrup-waffles-pancake, toothpaste-floss-brushes, toilet paper-kleenex, vegetables-canned %26amp; frozen. I use a shoe box and index cards with above catagories on them. It's easy to find them to take to the store when you break them down this way. When you get a new bunch of coupons sort them on your table and then stick them in the box instead of filing them one by one. Everyone has their own system, but this has worked great for me. Good luck!!
