Is there an easier way to keep track of my coupons?

There's got to be a way. I don't always use coupons but have in the past. They can really stretch you $. I'd like to use them more often but just haven't come up w/the best way to organize, strategize and execute. Looking for suggestions. Is there an easier way to keep track of my coupons?
Absolutely by category (beverages, cereal, cleaners, etc.) It's also easier if you arrange grocery coupons by the way you would typically shop at the grocery store - aisle by aisle.

Don't forget about all the non grocery coupons - those I organize by type: dining, travel, shopping, etc.Is there an easier way to keep track of my coupons?
I used to help my mom cut coupons. We would sit down and categorize them after we cut them, like..household items, food, bathroom stuff. and put each category in little envelopes, write the category on the front of the envelope, and she would put them in her purse for when we went shopping. some days she would end up saving up to $100.00!
Recipe box...
by category. liquids, seasonings, laundry products, etc. In a small file box with dividers.
