How do you turn coupons into big savings?

I keep hearing about people who go and clip coupons and save hundreds of $$$. But those coupons are usually $0.25 ~ $1.00 off of products--considerable but small savings. How do you turn them big? Is there a trick? Something in the fine print?

thanks! How do you turn coupons into big savings?
Coupons themselves may not save you big, and you have to get a mini ';stockpile'; together to really take advantage of the deals.

The primary way to make coupons work for you to save big and even get stuff for free is to pair coupons with in store specials.

There are websites that help you do this for a fee. I personally do not see the point in paying someone to help me save money. I have found this website www.pinchingyourpennies.com to be very helpful. There is a forum for each state as well a coupon listings. Many people will post what the other websites charge for, for free.

To build up your coupon pile you can go to free online websites like boodle.com, supersaver.com and coolsavings.com. Also check your local Sunday paper for coupons, and watch the grocery store adds to compare. If there is a Dillons/Kroger in your area I know that they double coupons.

Just last night I bought frozen vegetables that are usually 1.99 a bag for .19 per bag. They were on sale for .69 at the store and I had a coupon for $1 off of 2. Little things like this add up over time and can really make a difference in your monthly shopping budget! Good Luck! How do you turn coupons into big savings?
I did it years ago. You need to join a coupon club. They will help send you the ones you use . You will then will send them the ones you cut out but do not use. It requires cutting and saving box lids, code bars and different labels and boxes. It does work it you got the time and the place to store the items that need saving. You can get a lot of neat things to have on hand for presents. (hats, balls, toys, and etc.)
Nope, if you use them often, though, you will save hundreds of $$$
The stores in my area automatically double coupons. One of the biggest tricks in saving $$$ using coupons is to use the coupons when the items are on sale in the store and stocking up on the items during the time when the item is on sale. I've attached an article on some other tips for using coupons to save money so that you can see some other ways that folks use coupons to bring big savings.
Over a long period of time, it will save you hundred and thousands. There is no trick, you just have to keep using coupons. It will save in the long run.
Try sites like TheGroceryGame, PriceGrabber and SearchAllDeals.

TheGroceryGame.com helps you pairing up manufacturers' coupons with in-store mark-downs to maximize your saving. There is a fee associated with using the service.

PriceGrabber.com helps you comparison shop so you know what stores have the best prices for the products you want to purchase.

SearchAllDeals.com lets you search all popular bargain sites online. You can search for the lastest deals for either the stores or the products for the lastest deals.

Hope this is useful... Happy hunting!
1. go to a store that doubles coupons.

2. you have to be willing to use the brand the coupon is calling for.

3. check your weekly grocery ads and see what is on sale. then, check your coupons and buy the items that are on sale that you have a coupon for.

when I shop with coupons, it takes me about 2 hours to clip, organize and get ready for the shopping trip. then it takes me around 2 hours to shop. I usually end up spending around $350.00 and only end up paying around $100.00 to $150.00 for lotttttttssss of groceries. Good luck, and remember, you may have to settle for things you dont usually buy or eat on a regular basis.
You save alot and USE THEM it will truly save you big bucks.
