Please direct me to a website, if possible, that explains the process, or the type of company that clears these special transactions. Or are they applied as a discount by the retailer? How do retailers get their money from manufacturer's coupons?
I think it really depends on what coupons you are referring to, and the companies involved. I own my own business, and the only coupons that really apply to us are from the dog food that we carry- we give the coupons to the company and they credit our account. It's really quite simple. How do retailers get their money from manufacturer's coupons?
when ever the manufacturer comes for distribution to the retailer, they submit all the coupons to encash ..
Yes - retailer deducts value of coupons cashed from payment to mfg.
The coupons are submitted by the retailer to the manufacturer, who in turn, credits the retailer. Simple process.
Read the ';directions to retailer'; on the next coupon you have in your hand.
